Advent and Christmas

Join us for these special events and services in celebration of the holiday season:

Sanctuary Stroll. Sunday, December 13th, 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm: You are invited to stroll through our beautiful sanctuary, which will be decorated for Christmas and will feature crèches from around the world that will remind us of Jesus’ birth. Give yourself the gift of slowing down in this hectic season and spend a few moments reflecting on the Christmas story in the quiet beauty of our sanctuary.
Masks are required. Deacons will be on hand to maintain social distancing.

Sing-along with Nancy: We cannot meet for worship or caroling, but we can still join together in songs of the season! Join Nancy and Pastor Sue via zoom on Wednesday, December 16 for a carol sing-along! Watch the EWCC Weekly Reminder for the link.

Please join us for Christmas Eve Services

There will be two opportunities to worship together on Christmas Eve as we celebrate the birth of Christ and the gift of God’s lasting love.

5:00 pm: Join us on the East Woodstock Common for a reading of the Christmas story and singing “Silent Night.” Everyone is invited to bring a candle (battery or wax) or lantern to celebrate God’s Light in the darkness.

Prior to the service, everyone is invited to walk through our decorated sanctuary as our bell choir plays. Please walk through the sanctuary, through Fellowship Hall, and go out the ramp door to gather on the Common.

7:00 pm: Christmas Eve service on Facebook Live. Join Pastor Sue online to hear the Christmas story and sing carols as we celebrate
that God is Emmanuel, always with us.
